Hasta Luego Amigo!


Over the past 10 weeks we have been very spoilt in having Ekaitz working with us up in DASL.  

He was placed by the Totnes European school and was here for just under 3 months from Pamplona, Spain to expand his electronics assembly knowledge and to perfect the english language! 

Ekaitz was more than we could have ever asked for, hardworking, knowledgeable, fluent in English (much to his disagreement) friendly and became an honary member of the MSL & DASL team. 

He also spent a lot of time with Adrian and came to a few Exeter City games (comparing St James park to the camp Nou ðŸ˜‰...if only!!!) He was lucky enough to make a trip to Wembley stadium and watch Exeter City in the League 2 play off final. Although not the result we wanted it was something Ekaitz said he would remember forever and knew it was a very special experience to get a chance to be involved with. 

Whilst here he had to complete a project as part of his placement, building a robot he received 10/10 - saying that he couldn't have achieved that grade without the skills he picked up working with us. 

Ekaitz was working under the watchful eye of DASL's Gary who said "Ekaitz was always Pleasant, helpful and keen to learn and constantly looking at ways to improve processes and procedures" 

Well done Ekaitz, you are a credit to the Totnes european school and to Pamplona! It was great to have you working with us and hope to visit your town soon!

Totnes European school offer the service of free apprentices with a high skillset to businesses. Most students are here to gain a better knowledge of the English language but in our experience they are always able to communicate better than they think if not already fluent in English! We have also gained a lot of knowledge and experience from the students that have been placed with us so have found it a win win experience and would highly recommend the Totnes European school.
