3 and counting……. National Apprenticeship Week

3 and counting……. National Apprenticeship Week

We had a little celebration on Friday 9th March 2018 – yes it was our usual; the bowl of muffins from Gaynor and the team at Costa Coffee at Stone Lane Retail Park.  Why, I hear you ask!

Well, other than the fact they are really nice muffins, we thought we would celebrate the final day of National Apprenticeship Week by recognising our three employees who have been on our apprenticeship programme.

Joe Taylor, Technical Supervisor, was our first and has developed his career with MSL quite nicely to date – a brilliant example of how an apprentice position can be developed into a leadership role within business.

Callum Heard, our second, who is now a leading production operator and, amongst other great things, has been developing welding of the Stainless Steel Pasteuriser Tanks we supply to a major customer – doing very well thank you.

Thirdly, Max Harris, who is still on the programme and is developing his Electronics skills courtesy of the Engineering Team at Exeter College so he can contribute even more to our electronics business, DASL.

National Apprenticeship week aims to highlight how apprentices can benefit people, business and the economy – I believe we have three shining examples that really demonstrate the reality of that statement and our forward business plan for MSL & DASL underlines our desire to keep doing what we are doing – so watch this space four (see what we did there) more news!
