Adrian Sewell

Adrian Sewell

Adrian started his career as a wireman, thanks to a great guy called Terry Baker. He progressed over time to the position of UK Operations Director for a Global blue chip company. Responsible for a large, multi-location team he led a fair amount of manufacturing development, supply chain streamlining and system implementation. He set up DASL & MSL to help customers looking for a combined electronics assembly and sheet metal fabrication supplier, something reasonably unique in the UK. Outside of work, Adrian is a keen Exeter City fan, trust member and season ticket holder. He’s also quite into music and dropping in at the Port Royal for a nice cold Thatchers.


Emilie Sewell

Emilie Sewell

Emilie is Administration and Marketing manager. Her role is extremely varied and chances are she will be the first point of contact when you give us a call.  Looking after customers, making sure we raise invoices, keeping the website current and up-to-date, looking after our suppliers and keeping a keen eye on the welfare of the team are all part of a busy role. Outside of work Emilie is an avid Exeter City fan and season ticket holder. Emilie is also a talented artisan jewellery designer and makes unique items on commission. She loves Swimming, Ice skating and taking ballet classes to keep fit and is really in to live music going to as many gigs as she can.


Scott Arnold

Scott Arnold

Scott is our Operations Manager joining in January 2020 and bringing over 15 years’ experience in product & process control and systems management. Scott started his career with Blick communications (now Stanley Security) which is where he first met Adrian and went on to successfully work in many companies to help organise their operations management systems.  In his spare time Scott spends a lot of it ferrying his two boys around to singing lessons & concerts as they are both choristers at Exeter Cathedral. He is also a fan of Horse racing and football and has been attending Exeter City FC since 1988. He is proud to be one of the first members of the ECFC supporters trust. He is also an FA level qualified football coach managing Stoke Hill under 9’s – who are proudly sponsored by MSL!


Dan Rowlinson

Dan Rowlinson

The powerhouse of the shop floor, Dan is our Production Supervisor, responsible for making sure your order is produced to a high standard, efficiently and on time.  Dan has a background in metal finishing and has developed his skills to expertly include punching, folding and powder coating. He is fantastically enthusiastic and would probably live here if we let him! He has a wonderful motorcycle which is his pride & joy and loves nothing better than touring around Devon at the weekends.


Callum Heard

Callum Heard

Callum was our 2nd apprentice and really developed his skills with us and at Exeter College. He is multi skilled and can drive all of our key metal fabrication processes and is instrumental in preparing all new customer projects for manufacture. Outside of work Callum enjoys spending time with his three young sons as well as socialising with his friends. He is also an avid gamer and has been known to book holiday to coincide with a new game release to maximise gaming time!


Amy Sherwood

Amy joined us after she fancied a career change.She was always interested in engineering and has managed to get as far as possible away from her previous office based role. Now an extremely competent welder of steel, aluminium and stainless steel she has brought great change to our approach and professionalism in these disciplines.Outside of work Amy is a keen surfer, archer and also enjoys taking ballet classes


Jack Mckenzie-Smith

Jack Mckenzie-Smith

Jack joined us in 2020 having relocated to Devon from Nottingham with his partner. He brings a wealth of experience as a specialist TIG welder & CAD designer with great Solidworks skills. His background is in Mechanical automotive industries and he has spent the last few years running his own fabrication company. On relocating to Devon, Jack decided he would prefer to work as part of a team again which is what brought him to us.

Outside of work Jack enjoys kite surfing and attending track days as well as renovating classic cars; his current project being a Citroen ZX 16 valve. He also has a passion for 3D printing (which we have already benefited from a few times!) He also has 2 gorgeous husky crosses which keep him busy!  


Gary Ludick

Gary Ludick

Gary is our Electronics Team Leader and is responsible for making sure all orders are produced to a high standard. A background of running an electronics servicing company in Zimbabwe gives Gary an all round skill set that he deploys right across the business. Outside work Gary spends time with the family and loves nothing better than a trip away camping or up onto Dartmoor with the toboggan (making up for lost tobogganing time in Zimbabwe!).


Jon Camp

Jon Camp

Jon is our Senior Engineer with bags of experience and a great deal of common sense.  Jon has known Adrian since the 1980’s when they worked together at Blick Communications. Extensive experience in the switchgear industry has provided him with a strong knowledge of fabrication and electrical assembly. Jon loves buying & selling antiques,  he’s a keen collector of clocks and is mentioned in The Thristle Clockmakers of Somerset book by N & D Woodford.


Max Harris

Max Harris

Max joined us as our 3rd apprentice and has a background in both engineering and electronics and is therefore a good fit in our organisation. Max originally found our vacancy on the National Apprentice website and things just worked out from there. Amongst other things Max has a huge interest in history and has been educating us on those deep and distant events that excite him.  

 


Amy Herbert

Amy Herbert

Amy first came to us for a weeks work experience and we never let her leave!  Finding she had a real passion for electronics and engineering Amy joined us to pursue an apprenticeship through Exeter college and has excelled combining time at work with her studies and has achieved excellent results both at college and in the workplace. Outside of work Amy loves watching Netflix with her current favourite shows being Riverdale and Pretty Little Liars as well as walking her dog.


Jake Snell

Jake Snell

After completing his year 10 work experience with us in 2019 Jake joined us this year as our 6th apprentice. Having spent some time working in both the fabrication and electronics side of the business over the summer he decided he would like to pursue an apprenticeship in fabrication. He now spends two days a week learning at Exeter College and the rest of the week developing his skills here in the factory.

Outside of work Jake enjoys taking his beagle for walks and he is also a keen boxer.
